We feel that education is crucial in maintaining health and in preparation for big events… such as giving birth! Our classes can be taken as stand alone classes or can be taken as a series for a complete education.
We feel that finances should never be a barrier when it comes to accessing education. We also are active participants in supporting the community we call home. Since these are important goals to River Valley Birth Center, in lieu of charging families for the classes we provide, we request free-will donations for the St Peter Food Shelf. You can either bring non-perishable food items to class or you can bring a check written out to the St Peter Food Shelf and we will deliver the items to them.
Labor Stages and Comfort Measures-
This class is specifically designed for clients of River Valley Birth Center. In this exciting class you will learn all about the normal stages and progression of labor and the changes that occur in the body that allows for birth to take place. Clients of RVBC are already planning on having natural, drug-free labors, so learn some additional comfort techniques that can reduce any anxiety about giving birth and make the process easier. Birth partners will learn how to be the very best support they can be! Class is 3 hours in length and will be held at River Valley Birth Center.
